Lack of car events

Normally during this time of year I would be constantly on the move from one car event to the other. Showing my cars and jewellery to people at classic car meetings and 2cv weekends is the best way for me to getting you lot to buy my creations. In the end, that is why I do it. No matter how much I love making my cars and I do get attached to them, they need to be sold so I can expand my collection. On top of that, interacting with people is the main reason for me to make jewels. That way I get to gauge what my audience likes and wants, it gives me inspiration as well.

Getting exposure as a one woman business is not easy. I don't have a marketing budget since I put all my earnings into precious metal and tools to come up with new cars. But sitting at home also makes me work on my internet exposure and surf the world wide web for new models. So whilst doing that I stumble on various car sites and blogs.

That is how I came across a site where you can show your own car restauration. It got me thinking; yes I restored my own car (a few times even) but I also make them, build them so to say. So on a dreary Thursday I submitted my story in short, uploaded a whole bunch of photo's and had no idea if I would hear from them again.

Over a week later I noticed the visitor numbers to my site had exploded and for the life of me I could not imagine what had happened to have caused that. Till I thought of that little article I had submitted. I checked the site and lo and behold, one of the editors had rewritten my lines into a glowing piece about my cars and carjewellery. The translation option on the site meant people far and wide could read about my precious little ones.

So thank you Auto Motor Klassiek for writing about my work. In times like these it helps me to get a bit of exposure and I am still blushing from the praise!
