Silver baby gift

When I became an aunt for the first time I wanted to make a special baby gift for my little nephew. After a drink with a colleague I came up with a handmade silver spoon terminating in a cartoonesque cow, because my mother had painted a chair with two dancing cows for her first grandchild (you can find it on my Arqadia insta feed). Engraved on the back with his name and birth date it made a great gift. 

So when my niece was born I wanted to do something similar but still personal to this new little human. For some reason I came up with the teething ring, the cat was a given because this new addition to the family seemed to have a character that would suit a cat.

Just a few months ago we welcomed the third addition to the family. This time the animal I had to put into the gift was obvious since the parents already had four-legged furry babies that are an integral part of their family. That is why I made a silver malinois dogs head and put it into a silicon teething ring again, because the ring proved popular with my niece before. It have been given to the baby this weekend.

And when you have these teething rings lying around, when I buy something for a new project I always buy some extra experiment with, why not make some with cars as well? That is how the new gift item in my store came about. From a gift to my niece and nephews to gift options for you. You can choose whatever car I make in 1:160 scale or I can make something else, just like I did with the animals. Ask me and I will come up with an idea after a little chat.
